40 ways to get some links

Back in January i made a post called “40 måder at skaffe links på” (In english: 40 ways to get some links), and now i recieved a few E-mails from people who want me to translate it into english.

So now im gonna throw my selv into this english translation of my 40 ways to get some links

1. Write something that other bloggers would like to link to (Linkbait)

2. Write an E-book, and give it away for free

3. Write a really good article

4. Make a top 100 something list (top 100 best movies, top 100 best sites etc.)

5. Make a competition where the contestants have to link back to you

6. Make a interview with a famous blogger/person

7. Make your own Wordpress plugin

8. Make a Wordpress theme with your link somewhere in the template

9. Make som discussions in the comments. People love to link to people who are in a verbal fight

10. Make a pressrelease with some good content

11. submit your site to searchengine friendly link directorys

12. add some articles to article sites

13. Send a E-mail to webmasters who have relevant content, and ask them to link back to you

14. Send some articles to other bloggers, that they can use on there own blog, free of charge, if they link back to you

15. Let the world now that you are willing to do a review of interesting products.

16. Get you site on the frontpage of digg.com

17. Submit some of your sites to Stumbleupon.com

18. Find a popular gadget, and do a review of it.

19. Link to others. When you give something out, you will get it tenfold back

20. Be the first to post a news story

21. Create profiles on social networking sites, such as Twitter, Facebook etc.

22. Pay someone to post articles on your blog

23. Make your own SEO tool, People love to link to things like that

24. Find old indexed pages with a guestbook, and write a nice message to them

25. Make Comments on other blogs

26. Make a signature with your link on every community, where you have a profile.

27. If you have some old domains, then make some links from them to yout main site

28. Offer your self as a guest blogger

29. Sell something on ebay, and let people now that you will donate the money to charity (Maybe someone will write about it)

30. Make a Firefox plugin.

31. Call a live radioshow an shout your URL

32. Make a religious drawing, an post it on your site (Just be carefull not to offend anyone)

33. Link to other bloggers who show trackbacks

34. Make an award to the best whatever, and make people vote on your site

35. Make a cool viral movie an add it to Youtube

36. Make a lawsuit against Google (I bet you, that at least a few sites are gonna write about that)

37. See who links to your competitors, and make sure that you also get some links from them

38. Record your self on video, and talk about something that is relevant for your readers, and post it on your blog

39. Pay someone to do everything on this list

40. Make a “40 ways to get some links” on your own blog

( I now that my english is a bit rusty, so you don’t have to comment on my bad english )
